Queen of African Legacy ‘’the pride of womanhood’’ the beauty of African contest scheduled to hold on 8th December 2017 at Sheraton Hotels & Towers, Abuja – Nigeria by 1:pm prompt.
Queen of African Legacy is a beauty pageant initiated by African Legacy International; with the motive to providing a platform for young, talented beautiful African women to contest in a beauty pageant that will give them a chance to promote African Legacies and to help in projecting African positively to the rest of the world.
The pageant is specially designed to promote and extol the true virtues of womanhood. It is a celebration and an ultimate expression of true beauty, intelligence, and integrity. It is a search for the most inwardly and outwardly beautiful talented young woman who will step in shoes of great African women like Miriam Makeba of South Africa whose song and messages fought against apartheid in South Africa, Ellen Sir Leaf Johnson the president of Liberia who is rebuilding the ruins of Liberia, Margaret Ekpo and Fumilayo Kuti of Nigeria who fought for the emancipation of the Nigeria women just to mention but a few.
The focus of the pageant and the responsibility of the queen are to promote bilateral relations amongst African countries, promote and help to deepen democracy in Africa, build friendship amongst African countries through the promotion of great cultural heritage that abounds the continent. The selected Queen will be expected to act as Youth Ambassador for peace and change, who will raise her voice and draw attention to the realities of poverty in Africa and the plight of abused women, orphans and street children who are victims of war and conflicts in Africa and in rebuilding African communities that have been ravaged by war and conflicts. She will be presented as a unifying force that promotes African unity. Her role will also include raising her voice to appeal to African youths to shun negative social vices that may destroy their future.
